Engrave your logo, name or serial number on any 3D print
Upload an STL or 3MF — or pick a built-in cable winder — add your logo, a first name and a serial number (4B-0042, or your own prefix), check it in a live 3D preview and download a watertight, print-ready 3MF. No CAD needed.
Works in your browser. Files are processed on our server and deleted automatically. Output opens directly in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura or OrcaSlicer.
How it works
Three steps, about a minute, no design software.
Choose a model
Pick the Apple MagSafe 3 spooler or the USB-C cable winder, or upload your own STL / 3MF with a flat face.
Customise
Tick logo, serial number and/or first name. Upload your own logo or keep the default. Watch the live 3D preview update as you type.
Generate & print
Choose the depth, generate, download the 3MF and slice. One face keeps the static logo; the other carries your personalisation.
Features
Built for branded giveaways, numbered batches and personalised gifts.
Any STL or 3MF
Single-object files up to 80 MB. Bambu Studio project files keep their print profile, supports and plate settings.
Custom logo upload
PNG, JPG or WebP. Dark areas are traced automatically into clean engraving outlines; an invert option handles light-on-dark art.
Name + serial number
First names up to 15 letters and numbered serials with any prefix (4B-0001, ACME-0001 or plain 0001). The tool sizes everything to the flat area and warns if text would print too small.
Live 3D preview
Rotate, zoom and flip the model in your browser before you generate — then inspect the actual engraved result in 3D.
Safe geometry
Every output is checked to be watertight, every engraved floor verified, and wall thickness measured under the engraving.
Print-ready output
1.2 mm default depth (10 layers at 0.12 mm) — crisp with a 0.4 mm nozzle, and deep enough for a two-colour filament swap.
Guides
Measured answers from our own prints - depth, minimum text size, file formats and batch serials.
How deep should an engraving be on a 3D print?
Engrave 1.2 mm deep: 10 layers at 0.12 mm. Why layer count beats millimetres, the 0.6-2.0 mm range, the depth+0.8 mm wall rule and two-colour swaps.
Minimum text size for 3D printing: stroke width, not font size
The limit is 0.8 mm stroke width on a 0.4 mm nozzle, not cap height. Measured on real parts: 4.4 mm upright vs 8.3 mm rotated on one winder face.
3MF vs STL for personalised 3D prints
3MF keeps the print profile, plate layout, filament assignment and painted supports; STL keeps only triangles. Measured file sizes and when each format wins.
How to add a logo to an STL file without CAD
Add a logo to an STL or 3MF without CAD: which images trace cleanly, the 0.8 mm stroke rule, choosing a 1.2 mm depth, and checking the preview.
Serial numbers and batch personalisation for 3D printed parts
How to engrave PREFIX-0000 serial numbers into STL and 3MF parts, generate consecutive runs as one zip, and print a numbered batch. Measured at 4.1 mm cap height.
Frequently asked questions
What files can I engrave?
Any single-object STL or 3MF with a flat top or bottom face. Bambu Studio project 3MFs keep their print settings; plain STLs are returned as a standard 3MF that any slicer opens.
Is it free?
Yes. Uploaded files and generated models stay on the server only a few days and are then deleted automatically.
How deep is the engraving?
1.2 mm by default, adjustable from 0.6 to 2 mm. The tool measures the material under the engraving and refuses depths that would break through.
Can I use my own logo?
Yes — upload a PNG, JPG or WebP on a white or transparent background. Dark areas become the engraving; use "invert" for light-on-dark artwork. The 4Brains logo is the default.
Will small text print well?
The layout is scaled to the available area and the tool warns when text would be under 2.5 mm tall — the practical minimum for a 0.4 mm nozzle. Fewer elements or a shorter name gives larger text.
Which slicers and printers work?
Any. The output is a standard 3MF; it has been tested with Bambu Studio on P-series and H2S printers, and opens in OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer and Cura.
